Vol.80 Collaborative Art Spaces issue
Collaboration is a perennial practice in fields like fashion, art, design, products, and music, but over the last few years we’ve seen cross-profession collabs expand to other arenas like dining, lodging facilities, and spaces as well. So, in this issue we interview three creators who have many collaborative projects under their belts as well as introduce 15 art spaces born of collaboration located around Tokyo. In the first part of the issue we also present our pick of 5 of NY’s latest and greatest creative spots. This is our first feature to turn the focus on Tokyo since the Vol. 72 “Tokyo Community Spaces” issue.
ファッションやアート、デザイン、プロダクト、音楽といった業界では、すでに定番化しているコラボレーション・プロジェクトだが、近年は飲食、宿泊施設、空間など、その分野も拡張し、異業種間でのコラボレーションも展開されるようになった。そこで今回は、数々のコラボレーション・プロジェクトを手がける3組のアーティストへのインタビューをはじめ、東京に点在する「コラボレーションにより誕生したアート空間」を15軒紹介する。また巻末特集では、NYで話題の最先端クリエイティヴ・スペースを厳選5軒ピックアップ。Vol.72「Tokyo Community Spaces issue」以来の"東京"に焦点を当てた特集となっている。
